DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 11 -- THE Tanzanian government has commended the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) for its efforts to improve port operations across the country, a move that has enhanced efficiency, accountability, and service quality while contributing to national economic growth.

Speaking in the Coast Region after visiting Nyamisati Port,the Deputy Minister for Transport David Kihenzile said the improvements have turned the port sector into a key driver of economic growth by increasing cargo handling speed, reducing vessel turnaround time, and improving the business environment for traders and companies.
