DODOMA, Nov. 14 -- THE Coordinator for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Dodoma Region, Dr Missana Yango, has appealed to city residents to turn up for the ongoing free health screening and education campaign, noting that regular checkups are vital in identifying health risks early and ensuring timely treatment.
Speaking to journalists at Nyerere Square, where the screening week is being observed, Dr Yango said the exercise aims to raise awareness and promote early detection of life-threatening conditions among city residents.
He said the services, which are being offered at no cost, include screening for high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, heart diseases, as well as nutrition and healthy lifestyle education.
