Dar es Salaam, March 22 -- GEITA: GEITA Gold Mining Limited (GGML) has partnered with the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) to improve safety for small-scale women miners in Geita Region.

The programme begins with educating miners on safe mining practices and distributing protective equipment valued at 24m/- to the Geita Women Miners Association (GEWOMA).

GGMLs Senior Sustainability Manager, Mr Gilbert Mworia explained recently that the programme started with workplace safety training, in collaboration with OSHA and the Mining Office.
