Dar es Salaam, Feb. 14 -- DODOMA: MINISTER for Minerals, Mr Anthony Mavunde has said that the government is addressing the need for a consistent supply of raw gold (feedstock) to ensure the efficient operation of Geita Gold Refinery (GGR).

He said at a seminar organised for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals in Dodoma on Wednesday that the Ministry of Minerals has been actively implementing strategies aimed at securing a steady flow of raw materials for the refinery in Geita Region.

He said that the government has already engaged with the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) and other key stakeholders to establish a structured system for accessing capital through the Export Credit Guarantee Scheme.
