Dar es Salaam, Feb. 23 -- SEOUL: TANZANIAN runner Gabriel Geay won the mens elite title in the 2025 Daegu Marathon, with an impressive finish of 2:05:20, narrowly edging out Ethiopias Addisu Gobena by just two seconds (2:05:22).
The race proved to be a nail-biter, with a highly competitive field of elite athletes from across the globe.
The mens race was tightly contested, with the top four runners finishing within a mere 44 seconds of one another.
Geays victory came after a fierce battle against Gobena, who was hot on his heels, and Dejene Megersa (2:05:59) and Ogbe Kibrom Ruesom (2:06:04) from Ethiopia and Eritrea, respectively.
