Dar es Salaam, Feb. 20 -- TANGA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is set to embark on an official eightday visit of Tanga Region from this Sunday, where among others, she will distribute 84 modern fishing and fibre boats to fishermen and seaweed growers in the region.

This initiative is part of the sixth-phase governments efforts to stimulate the blue economy in the region.

Tanga Regional Commissioner (RC), Dr Batilda Burian said yesterday that during her upcoming visit to the region, President Samia will launch 34 modern fishing boats and provide 50 fibre boats to seaweed farmers.
