Dar es Salaam, Dec. 13 -- TANZANIANS have commended the governments efforts to bolster national security through its defence and security agencies, recognising that these measures play a crucial role in safeguarding the countrys broader economic development interests.

Speaking to the ‘Daily News yesterday, some Tanzanians said the security and defence agencies are well-prepared to ensure peace and stability across the country.

Commenting on the matter, Professor of Economics and Founding Director of the Centre for Chinese Studies at the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof Humphrey Moshi, said the security organs have implemented solid measures to reinforce national security and protect peace and stability.
