DODOMA, June 18 -- THE Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) has issued a stern warning to fuel stations selling petroleum products at inflated prices, contrary to the indicative prices set by the authority.

Speaking at the ongoing Public Service Week exhibitions at Chinangali Grounds in Dodoma, EWURA Director General Dr James Andilile revealed that while the current pump price for petrol stands at 2,905/- per litre, reports have surfaced of some stations charging as high as 5,000/- per litre, an act that constitutes a serious breach of regulations.
