Dar es Salaam, April 2 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) has announced new fuel prices for April 2025, showing an increase in petrol and kerosene prices despite a decrease in importation costs by an average of 6.08 percent for petrol and 7.09 percent for diesel.
In Dar es Salaam, petrol is now selling at 3,037/- per liter, up from 2,996/- last month. Kerosene has also increased to 3,053/- from 3,036/-.
However, diesel prices have dropped to 2,936/- per liter from 2,885/-.
The price increase has also been observed in Tanga and Mtwara regions, where petrol prices have risen by 41 percent and 40 percent per liter, respectively.
