DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 25 -- THE East African Community Election Observation Mission (EAC-EOM) has urged Tanzania to safeguard peace before, during and after the upcoming General Election scheduled for Wednesday.

Speaking during an official launch and flag-off of the mission, Head of the EAC-EOM, Dr Speciosa Kazibwe commended Tanzania for its longstanding record of peaceful political transitions, noting that it stands out among EAC member states for maintaining stability throughout changes in leadership.
