Dar es Salaam, April 23 -- DODOMA: TANZANIAs locally developed second version of eMrejesho (eMrejesho V2) system has been nominated to compete for the 2025 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Awards.

The WSIS Awards, coordinated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) which is a United Nations agency, aim to recognize and promote innovative ICT-based projects that contribute to sustainable development around the globe.

eMrejesho V2 has been nominated under the e-Government category (Action Line C7) and is among 360 ICT systems that advanced past the screening stage out of over 1,000 digital project submissions from various countries worldwide.
