DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 6 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is scheduled officially reopen the Kariakoo Main Market in Dar es Salaam on February 8, 2026.

The announcement was made by the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, who also urged residents of the region to attend the market reopening in large numbers.

Chalamila further called on all traders who had blocked the markets access roads to clear them, allowing business activities to return to normal.
