Dar es Salaam, March 31 -- ZANZIBAR: THE President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ally Mwinyi, has lauded Muslims in the Isles for peacefully fulfilling the obligations of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Dr. Mwinyi joined Muslim worshippers in performing Eid El-Fitr prayers at Jamiu Zinjibari Mosque in Mazizini, Urban West Region.

The prayer was held as part of the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims celebrate after completing the 30-day fast.

During the religious ceremony, President Mwinyi congratulated worshippers for fulfilling their Ramadan obligations and urged them to uphold peace, unity, and love among Zanzibaris and Tanzanians as a whole.
