ZANZIBAR, Jan. 2 -- THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has urged citizens to work closely with the government to ensure that development plans and projects are implemented and completed within the set timelines.

President Dr Mwinyi made the call today, January 2, 2026, during the foundation stone–laying ceremony for the construction of the Uzi Ngambwa Bridge and its connecting roads. The event was held at Uzi Ngambwa in the South Unguja Region and formed part of the celebrations marking the 62nd Anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution.
