DODOMA, June 11 -- THE Tanzania Teachers Union (CWT) has presented a special award to the Dodoma Regional Police office in recognition of its outstanding contribution to safeguarding people with disabilities and the wider community against crime.
The accolade was handed over at the Unions General Election meeting for women teachers and teachers with disabilities, which brought together educators from various regions across the country.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dodoma Regional Police Commander, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) George Katabazi, said the recognition was an honour and a significant morale booster for the force in its commitment to combatting crime, particularly against persons with disabilities.
