Two teams, representing universities across Tanzania, clashed in the European Union Debate Contest, a resounding success that showcased the talent and passion of young Tanzanian debaters.

It was Careen Ndika, a 21-year-old actuarial science student, who silenced the room. Her arguments, delivered with a passion that belied her scientific background, resonated with the judges and the audience alike.

When the final gavel fell, and the chants of “team red” echoed through the hall, Ndika emerged victorious, earning the coveted title of top speaker.
