ARUSHA, Dec. 3 -- THE Arusha Regional Commissioner, Mr Amos Makalla, has ordered the contractor from GESI Espanola Company to accelerate the implementation of the project to install runway lights at Arusha Airport.

Makalla issued the directive today, December 3, 2025, during a visit to inspect the progress of the project, which is being implemented for 11 billion Tanzanian shillings. He emphasized that the government has approved this budget to enable the airport to operate 24 hours a day, as part of a strategy to boost tourism and provide a friendly environment for air travel.
