DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 14 -- THE Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Ladies Open will now tee off in January 2026, after organisers pushed back the event to attract a wider field and expand sponsorship backing for Tanzanias premier womens golf competition.

Originally slated for November 21–23, 2025, the organisers said the postponement will give them more time to enhance logistics, partnerships and player engagement across Tanzania and neighbouring countries.

Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC) Lady Captain Sue van Zyl said the decision, though difficult, was made to ensure the tournament lives up to its growing regional reputation.
