Dar es Salaam, Feb. 20 -- DODOMA: THE Dar es Salaam City Council on Tuesday, signed three contracts aimed at improving public services and the safety of the citys residents.
The projects include the installation of security cameras (CCTVs) in Kariakoo Market, the completion of Bonyokwa Secondary School and the handover of five garbage collection trucks.
Speaking at the event, Ilala District Commissioner, Mr Edward Mpogolo, urged the contractors who won the projects to work efficiently, manage them properly and ensure they are completed on time to bring development to the nation.
He also called on financial institutions to lend contractors modern, cleaning equipment to improve sanitation in markets and the city in general.
