Dar es Salaam, March 17 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE Cuban Ambassador to Tanzania, Yordenis Vera, has emphasised that strong bilateral cooperation in the health sector has enabled the continuous importation of essential medicines from Cuba to Tanzania.

Speaking over the weekend in Dar es Salaam at the opening of a training course for skin specialists, Ambassador Vera highlighted drugs for treating skin conditions, including vitiligo, as among the imported medicines.

Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease that causes loss of skin pigmentation, leading to white patches.

The training, conducted by renowned Cuban skin specialist Prof Ernesto Miyares Diaz, aims to enhance expertise in treating various skin diseases in Tanzania.
