Dar es Salaam, March 15 -- DAR ES SALAAM: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals has recommended that the government import more gas-powered vehicles to reduce running costs.

Committee chairperson David Mathayo made this suggestion on Friday during a visit to various gas stations in Dar es Salaam.

He emphasized the importance of workshops capable of selling the complete system of gas filling equipment in the country.

In response to the committees advice, Energy Deputy Minister Ms. Judith Kapinga stated that her docket has received the recommendations and added that plans are underway to add 15 more gas filling stations this year.
