KIBAHA, Oct. 26 -- THE government has provided the Fire and Rescue Force (FRF) in the Coast Region with 12 firefighting vehicles and one rescue boat, all worth 7.9bn/-.

The move is part of the governments ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of defence and security organs across the country, with the aim of enhancing the safety and security of people and their property.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held in Kibaha Municipality on Friday, Coast Regional Commissioner Mr Abubakar Kunenge said the new vehicles and boat will boost the departments efficiency, particularly during disaster response operations.
