DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 8 -- THE Mufti of Tanzania, Chief Sheikh Abubakar Zubeir, said religious institutions in the country have begun a dialogue aimed at restoring the nations image, preserving peace, and protecting the lives and property of Tanzanians.

In a statement issued yesterday, December 7, 2025, Mufti Zubeir said the discussions are being held under the leadership of the Secretary General of the National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA), Nuhu Mruma.
