TANZANIA, July 20 -- THE government has called on all sectors to intensify their preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which is scheduled to kick off on August 2 in Tanzania.
The tournament, running up to 30 August, will unite three East African Community (EAC) member countries of Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, through football.
The opening match is scheduled to kick off at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam. From there, the journey will wind through Kampala, Uganda, for the third-place playoff and climax in Nairobi, Kenya, where the final match will crown the champions of Africas most celebrated home-based competition.
