DAR ES SALAAM, July 17 -- THE Chief of Defence Forces, General Jacob Mkunda, has urged Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces (TPDF) leaders, coaches and athletes to shake off complacency and jumpstart intense preparations ahead of the East African Community Military Games and the prestigious CISM World Games.

Addressing attendees at the closing ceremony of the recent CDF Cup Tournament held at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam, General Mkunda emphasised that the tournament was a crucial stepping stone rather than the ultimate goal.
