DODOMA, July 29 -- THE ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has pledged to conduct the entire selection and campaign process with transparency, fairness, and adherence to democratic principles, to field capable and trustworthy candidates to effectively represent the people.

CCM pledged as its Central Committee of the National Executive Council (NEC) officially approved the names of candidates vying for various leadership positions within the party, including parliamentary and representative seats.

 These candidates will now be subjected to internal opinion polls conducted by party members to select one final nominee who will represent CCM in the upcoming General Election scheduled for October 29, 2025.
