DODOMA, July 26 -- THE Chairperson of the ruling party CCM and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, has stated that a decision has been made to amend the CCM constitution to allow the partys National Executive Committee (NEC) to nominate other candidates beyond the three names approved by the District and Regional Political Committees, in cases it is necessary.

Speaking at the Special CCM Meeting held virtually today, July 26, 2025, in Dodoma, President Samia was quoted as saying:
