DODOMA, July 22 -- THE Canadian government has injected 92bn/- to support, contribute to, and enhance various projects in the education sector in Tanzania.
The announcement was made by the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Adolf Mkenda, during a press briefing held in Dodoma after his meeting with Canadas Minister of International Development, Sandeep Sarai, who is in Tanzania for a three-day working visit.
Prof. Mkenda said the funds are part of Canadas contribution through the Teacher Education Support Project (TESP), which aims to improve the quality of teacher training colleges across the country by upgrading infrastructure, teaching and learning materials, and overall teaching environments.
