DODOMA, Feb. 17 -- TANZANIAS mine-closure expertise has drawn regional attention, with a delegation from Burkina Faso concluding a learning tour focused on environmental protection and responsible mining transitions.
The delegation met with the Assistant Director for Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ellen Maduhu, during their February 8 to 16, 2026, visit to Tanzania with a mission to understand how Tanzania manages mine closure while safeguarding communities and ecosystems.
