Dar es Salaam, Feb. 22 -- ZANZIBAR: THE Parliamentary Committee on Governance, Constitution and Legal Affairs has pledged to advise the Union government to ensure that the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties in Zanzibar receives the necessary resources to construct its own modern building.
The Committee Vice Chairperson, Mr Florent Laurent Kyombo, made the pledge during an inspection visit to Kisakasaka, the proposed site for the construction of the political parties Registrars office in Zanzibar.
Mr Kyombo said that having a dedicated office would significantly improve the efficiency of the registrars operations, ensuring that all registered political parties function in line with the law.
