Dar es Salaam, Jan. 20 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE central bank, through its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), said yesterday that the countrys economic growth improved last year, thanks to the governments initiatives to promote economic stability.

The committee revealed that in the third quarter, the countrys economy grew by 5.3 per cent, and it is estimated to reach 5.4 per cent in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, the committee noted that until the end of this years first quarter, Tanzania Mainlands economy is projected to grow by 5.2 per cent.
