Dar es Salaam, March 31 -- KILIMANJARO: THE National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA) in Kilimanjaro Region has urged believers to pray for sustained peace in the country, particularly as the nation approaches its general election.

This appeal was made by Alhaj Awadhi Lema, Secretary of BAKWATA in Kilimanjaro, during an Iftar event hosted by Regional Commissioner Nurdin Babu.

“Our peace is paramount, enabling us to continue our nation-building efforts. As religious leaders, we must actively safeguard this peace,” Alhaj Lema emphasised.
