ARUSHA, Sept. 4 -- THE Arusha Regional Commissioner, Amos Makalla, has directed the timely completion of the Tanganyeti Bridge project measuring 40 meters in length along the Arusha–Longido–Namanga road leading to neighbouring Kenya.
The project, implemented through the Tanzania Roads Agency (TANROADS) and contracted to Jiangx Geo Engineering Company, costs approximately 4.6bn/-.
CPA Makalla issued the directive today, September 4, 2025, during his official working tour to inspect development projects in Longido District. He urged the contractor to speed up the construction to ensure the bridge crucial to local communities is completed by December 2025 and begins serving the public.
