DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 2 -- AIRTEL Africa more than doubled its profit after tax for the nine months ended December, buoyed by stronger operating earnings and sizeable gains from derivatives and foreign exchange movements.

The company posted a profit of 586 million US dollars for the nine months to last December, up from 248 million US dollars in the same period in 2024, reflecting strong operational performance and favourable foreign exchange movements.

Airtel Africa CEO Sunil Taldar said these results demonstrate the strength of their strategy, reflecting robust operating and financial performance across the business.
