DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 20 -- The Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports of Tanzania, Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, together with Ugandas Minister of Sports, Ongwang Peter, have signed a hosting agreement for the Secretariat of the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 4.

The signing ceremony took place on August 20, 2025, in Dar es Salaam during the Second Ministerial Meeting of the African Union for Region 4.

This regional bloc comprises the following member states: Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania (host), and Uganda.
