YAOUNDE, Dec. 1 -- A call to accelerate the establishment of the African Monetary Institute, as well as exploring ways to strengthen payment systems cooperation through the use of national and regional infrastructures, are among the key issues Africas Central Banks governors discussed broadly in their meeting convened in Cameroon.
The Deputy Governor of the Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Dr Yamungu Kayandabila, has attended the 47th Annual Meeting of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB), where, among many other things, the governors at the meeting approved the 2026/2028 work program of the Association of African Bank Supervisors.
