Dar es Salaam, April 17 -- ZANZIBAR: THE National Chairman of ACT-Wazalendo and Zanzibar First Vice-President, Mr Othman Masoud Othman, officially submitted his nomination forms yesterday, seeking his partys endorsement to run for President of Zanzibar in the upcoming General Election.

Mr Othman handed in his forms at ACTWazalendos headquarters in Vuga, Zanzibar, marking a significant milestone in the partys election preparations.

Speaking to journalists after the submission, Mr Othman said that his presidential bid is driven by a strong commitment to defend the interests of the people of Zanzibar and to ensure that they fully enjoy their civil rights.
