ZANZIBAR, Oct. 13 -- ZANZIBAR presidential candidate for ACT-Wazalendo Mr Othman Masoud Othman has pledged to address the persistent land disputes in the Isles.

Speaking on Friday at campaign rallies in the villages of Paje and Mtende, Makunduchi Constituency in South Unguja District, Mr Othman asked for votes, saying he is determined to bring real development by addressing key challenges including land conflicts.

If elected, he promised, his government would ensure fair compensation for all affected citizens, proper land surveys and the issuance of ownership titles to rightful landholders.
