GEITA, Nov. 21 -- The Police Force in Geita Region has confirmed the arrest of Dr Kibaba Furaha Michael, an employee of the Geita Regional Referral Hospital, in connection with ongoing investigations into alleged criminal offenses.

Geita Regional Police Commander, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Safia Jongo, clarified the situation in a media statement on Wednesday after widespread social media posts on Tuesday which claimed Dr Kibaba had been missing since the previous day while on duty.

The RPC stated that Dr Kibaba was arrested due to evidence collected regarding various criminal allegations leveled against him.
