DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 5 -- THE Dar Rapid Transit Agency (DART) has begun the process of bringing 932 new buses into the country, expected to be completed by October this year.

Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, DART Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Athumani Kihamia, said the buses will arrive in phases, with the first batch of 99 buses expected to arrive in mid-August.

The four companies contracted to supply the buses are Mofat Company Limited, Metro City Link Ltd, YK City Link Ltd, and TransDar. The first three companies are Tanzanian.

Mofat Company Limited will deliver 255 trunk buses, Metro City Link will provide 334 feeder buses operating on three routes, YK City Link will bring 166 feeder buses for six routes, and TransDar will s...
