DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 19 -- The Dar es Salaam Regional Immigration Department has arrested 66 Burundian nationals for staying and working in Tanzania illegally.
These immigrants were living and working unlawfully in the Kariakoo area, specifically in Jangwani Street within the Ilala District Council, Dar es Salaam city.
The statement was issued today, September 19, 2025, by the Dar es Salaam Regional Immigration Officer, Assistant Senior Commissioner (SACI) Vincent Haule. He explained that the suspects were arrested for entering, residing, and working without valid permits, actions that violate the countrys immigration laws.
