Dar es Salaam, April 9 -- DODOMA: THE Tanzanian Government has announced significant progress in the construction of the Government City project at Mtumba in Dodoma, with ministry buildings now 89.7 percent complete.

Delivering the update in Parliament today, April 8, 2025, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said 34 buildings are under construction—24 for government ministries and 10 for various government institutions.

He explained that the project aims to improve the efficiency of public service delivery by bringing government leaders together in one centralized location, thereby enhancing coordination of government operations.
