DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 23 -- THE Tanzania Fertilizer Company (TFC) has imported over 50,000 tonnes of Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer to meet farmers needs for the current agricultural season.
TFC Managing Director Samuel Mshote made the statement, noting that the fertilizer arrived on the BC Zoe vessel from Saudi Arabia earlier this week.
Elaborating, the Director stated that the government aims to import a total of 97,000 tonnes of DAP fertilizer this season, with the initial shipment of 50,000 tonnes covering approximately 60 percent of the target.
