Dar es Salaam, March 26 -- DODOMA: A NEWLY constructed 45,000-litre rainwater harvesting tank at Ipala Secondary School in Dodomas Ipala Ward has dramatically alleviated water shortages, significantly reducing the schools reliance on the Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA).

Ipala Ward TASAF facilitator and Agricultural Extension Officer, Mr Juma Sereya said the tank, which was built through collaboration between TASAF and local residents has been instrumental in providing water, especially during intensive study periods leading up to Form Four and Form Two national examinations.

He confirmed the tanks capacity is sufficient to meet the schools needs.
