GEITA, June 27 -- AT least 250 small-scale miners in Geita Region have received training aimed at promoting safe, efficient and productive mining practices.
The training was organised by the Prime Ministers Office for Labour, Youths, Employment and Persons with Disabilities, as part of a national initiative to enhance skills development and improve the mining sectors value chain.
Speaking during the official opening ceremony held in Geita Town, Acting Director of the Department of Employment and Skills Development, Ms Alana Nchimbi said the training programme runs from June 23rd to June 27th, 2025.
