MOROCCO, July 11 -- TANZANIA national womens football team, Twiga Stars, are gearing up for a crucial Group C clash at the 2024 Womens Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) as they prepare to face defending champions, South Africas Banyana Banyana in Morocco later today.
After a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mali in their opening match, the Tanzanian camp remains optimistic. Team Head of Delegation, Hawa Mniga, said the players are mentally strong, physically fit and fully focused on the challenge ahead.
“The morale is high. The players are mentally fit and you can see their energy and focus during training,” Mniga said during a media briefing yesterday.
“We believe that with the preparation weve had, we can win this game.”
