DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 7 -- THE Tanzania Film Festival Awards are scheduled to take place on February 14, 2026, at The SuperDome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.

Speaking during the announcement of the award categories, the Executive Secretary of the Tanzania Film Board, Gervas Kasiga, said the awards are expected to leave a significant mark on the countrys film industry due to the large number and high quality of submissions received.

Kasiga revealed that more than 2,000 local film works were submitted and carefully reviewed, with only 200 top productions selected. In addition, over 200 international films were submitted, highlighting the festivals growing international profile.
