DODOMA, May 22 -- EIGHTEEN candidates have been cleared to contest for the presidency of the Tanzania Teachers Union (CWT), while 19 are vying for the position of Vice President in elections scheduled for May 28–29 in Dodoma.
Among the notable contenders for the top post is former CWT President Leah Ulaya, who is seeking to return to the top office, alongside her former deputy, Ikomba Suleiman.
Other presidential aspirants include Barua Mwalimu, Chakupewa John, Julius Shangweli, Kasimba Robert, Kondowe Emanuel, Mahenga Hamisi, Malinga Ally, Mlobi Stephen, Mudui Charles, Mnyimbengu Rajabu, Mussa Ismaili, Mutungi Ngamera, Mbomba James, Ndonyalo Godhard, Nyatega Rose, and Twambo Tumaini.
