Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- A case filed against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's son Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his grandmother Daisy Forrest, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act was yesterday fixed for December 10 by the Colombo High Court (CHC).

The case was taken up before CHC Judge Rashmi Singappuli.

On a previous occasion, the CHC served an indictment on the accused and after serving the indictments, both accused were ordered to be enlarged on two sureties of Rs. 1 million each.

The Attorney General had filed indictments against these accused on three charges, alleging that they committed an offence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act by depositing over Rs. 59 million, which was illegally earned, in fixed deposit accoun...
