Sri Lanka, May 30 -- The Colombo High Court has scheduled the next hearing for July 11 in the money laundering case involving Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and his grandmother, Daisy Forest.
The case was heard before High Court Judge Aditya Patabendige. Senior State Counsel Dileepa Karunathilaka appeared on behalf of the prosecution.
President's Counsel Sampath Mendis, representing the accused, requested the court to provide all necessary documentation and the public list of witnesses. He emphasized that these materials are essential to ensure a fair trial for his clients.
Judge Patabendige instructed the prosecution to submit the requested documents accordingly.
